Ray has been involved in the information systems security business for over 25 years. He is the Past Senior Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer at Scotiabank. Ray led a global team of information security professionals in safeguarding the organization's information assets in over 55 countries. He has a B.A. from the University of Manitoba and holds the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and Certified Risk Professional (CRP) designations.
Dr. Gladman is the Chief Medical Information Officer for Mackenzie Health. He is a critical care physician and professionally licensed electrical and medical engineer with over a decade of experience in applied clinical technology innovation. He holds several degrees from the University of Toronto, including a B.A.Sc. in Engineering Science, M.A.Sc. in Electrical Computer (Medical Engineering), as well as a Doctor of Medicine (MD).
Margaret is the Managing Director for BlackBerry Canada. Margaret joined BlackBerry from SAP where she served as Vice President, North American Business Development. Margaret has more than 20 years of experience in sales, product management and development with technology companies including SAP, Longview Solutions and Siemens Medical Imaging. She holds a BA (Computer Science) from Trinity College, Dublin.
Rob is a senior Fellow at the University of Toronto Institute of Health Policy Management and Evaluation. He recently retired after serving eleven years as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Toronto East General Hospital. Prior to TEGH, he was the President and CEO of the Peterborough Regional Health Centre. He has a Bachelor’s degree from Queen’s University and a Master’s degree from the University of Ottawa.
Robert is the Director Healthcare Transformation for Cisco. Prior to Cisco, he served as the Vice President of St. Michael's Hospital for 19 years. Michael has an extensive and rich academic and health leadership experience with positions as Director Quality/Utilization, Director Laboratory Medicine, Director Corporate Performance and Vice President Planning and Development. He holds a H.BSc. in Life Science from Queen's University and a MBA in Health Administration from McMaster University.
Michael is the Head of Business Development for Philips Canada. Michael’s previous role’s within Philips include Director of Imaging and the Director of Strategic Business. His current role requires him to fully integrate new Philips healthcare businesses into the Canadian market. Michael also leads the research and development program for Philips within the Canadian market. He holds a BSc. in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph.
Altaf was appointed as President and CEO of Mackenzie Health in 2010 and serves as the President of Mi². Prior to joining Mackenzie Health, he held the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer at Mount Sinai Hospital, Site Executive at the Brampton Civic Hospital and Vice President, Patient Services at the William Osler Health Centre. Altaf holds an undergraduate degree in Economics, Geography and Business Administration, as well as a Masters in Health Administration. He is also adjunct faculty in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto.
Richard is the Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer for Mackenzie Health and serves as the CFO for Mi². Richard is a strategic leader in the development of Information, Communication, Automation Technology (ICAT) Healthcare framework and the Internet of Healthcare Things (IoHTs) in Mackenzie Health. He holds an MBA from York University, a BSc from the University of Manchester and is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Ontario.
Rahim is focused on nurturing, developing and implementing disruptive healthcare innovations through close collaboration with internal stakeholders, industry leaders and academic partners. Rahim provides ongoing project leadership and consulting support to a number of healthcare innovation projects at the hospital. Rahim is driven by developing people-centric solutions and using smart processes and technology to support them in an effort to create a world class health experience for all. Rahim holds a Master’s degree in Digital Experience Innovation (MDEI) from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor’s of Commerce with a specialization in Marketing from York University. Rahim is also a passionate volunteer at the hospital and has acted as a board member on the Mackenzie Health Volunteer Association and currently sits on the Fundraising and Special Projects Committee.
Angus has a unique blend of training and experience in science and business. He is a published author in popular scientific journals with contributions to various topic in cancer biology. Beyond science, his experience include consulting, strategy development, and marketing for various healthcare organizations and in the private sector. He holds a H.BSc, MSc., and MMI degree.
Mary has 14 years' experience as an Executive Assistant supporting senior executives in the healthcare and software technology industries and has been with Mackenzie Health since 2012. Being with Mi² since inception, Mary has played a pivotal role in supporting the organization and assisted in the development of the organization's vision, mission and values, strategic plan and business plan. Being technologically savvy and an early adopter, Mary has the unique ability to focus on the details while still being able to see the bigger picture. She is currently undergoing certification for the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) designation and looks forward to bringing this knowledge to Mi².
Liane Ladouceur is an Electrical and Biomedical Engineering student at McMaster University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science from Carleton University in Neuroscience. Having worked in the healthcare field for over 5 years, Liane gained experience at a family medical clinic and optometry clinic before coming on board for her current position with the Mackenzie Innovation Institute. She is currently a non-voting member on the CSA Perioperative Safety Technical Committee, along with other volunteer roles at McMaster University. Liane is passionate about healthcare innovation, aspiring to continue her career in the biomedical engineering field after graduation in 2019.
